🧶 Big news: we’re going BIGGER in 2027, and Oct 25 2026 just got a glow-up!
Sunday, October 25: Fiber Arts Field Day 🌳
Come stitch in the park! Bring your project, your friends, and your favorite snacks for an afternoon of knitting, crocheting and good company outdoors. There is a lot going on in the world but the connection through fiber and craft will always be impactful. Let's take some time to get together - enjoy Fall in NYC and come back in 2027 to break some records
How we got here...
It started with a conversation between friends. I was catching up with Nadya at Pie, and she was so excited about how the fiber arts community was showing up on her platform. I shared how much success we'd had with our small Stitch Club events, and then we thought: what if we teamed up with other community organizers and groups and tried something really crazy?
Like breaking a world record for the most people knitting and crocheting at the same time?
We knew it was a wild idea. Maybe no one would show up at all. But I've been hosting fiber events for years, and this felt like the most fun thing we could possibly do. Will we break the record? We don't know. But why not try? At the very least, it'll be a lovely day in the park with a few thousand of our favorite people.
We quickly found out it is hard to pull 4200 people together on a whim but we loved trying. So the good news is we regrouped, and have an even better plan coming together for 2027 to break the records.
And the world record? It’s on for 2027.
A goal this big deserves a bigger runway, so we’re taking the time to make it unforgettable, with more of the fiber community stitching alongside us. Stay tuned for details!
Already RSVP’d? You’re all set. You’ll be the first to hear what’s next, and you’re warmly invited to Field Day on the 25th.
